A Winter Votive Candle Workshop
Join Beka from WreathMagick for a cozy, reflective evening of candle-making as we gather in the heart of winter and welcome the slow return of the light. Late January is a threshold time—still deeply winter, yet carrying the first subtle signs of what’s to come. It’s a season for intention-setting, renewal, and gentle momentum as the days begin to lengthen.
Together, we’ll explore different types of candles with a focus on votives, including a brief overview of candle-making basics. Participants will then be invited to set an intention for the remainder of winter and the beginning of spring, and decorate a pre-made votive candle using some of my favorite herbs, florals, and crystals.
To extend the experience beyond the workshop, everyone will go home with:
• A decorated votive candle
• A candle tin
• A wick
• Enough wax to remake the candle at home
This allows you to recreate the process on your own time and continue working with your intention as the season unfolds.
This workshop is perfect for anyone curious about candle-making, drawn to seasonal practices without rigid structure, or simply craving a warm, creative evening of community and connection in the depths of winter.
