Charles Dickens is back on tour with a staged reading of his seasonal smash hit, A Christmas Carol. But even the classics have to keep up with the times, don’t they?

Dickens’ story is one of the all-time greats. One Christmas Eve, the mean old miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, is visited by a quartet of spirits who force him to confront his past, present and future. Will he change his ways and embrace the true spirit of the season, or will he be damned for all eternity?

Charles wants to simply read the book, from cover to cover, to a grateful and receptive audience, just as he did in 1858. His agent has other ideas. Would it kill him to add just a little sparkle, spectacle and - dare we say - showbiz?

A theatre company of just two professional actors transport us to a world of multi rolling, multi-disciplinary fun, where audiences feel the true magic of live theatre.

This new commission is written, devised and performed by Piers and Suzannah Hampton (Who have been seen and heard on the West End, at Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory, The RSC and the BBC).

A Christmas Carol is quite possibly the most famous Christmas tale ever written and it’s central moral message retains the power to uplift us all and make us feel that all is indeed well with the world.

Expect plenty of gags and ghosts, wit and wigs, humour, hats and humbugs!
