Come Bowling with us on Sunday 26th October! The Silverlining Charity supports the Child Brain Injury Trust's "Be Seen, Not Hurt" Campaign

Inviting all members of The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity and the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) to join us for FUNDAY SUNDAY on the 26th October 2025, in support of CBIT's annual GloWeek Campaign to help children "Be Seen, Not Hurt".

"Be Seen, Not Hurt" is an autumn road safety campaign which encourages children to wear bright colours, when they are out, as daylight hours become shorter in the winter months. As the nights draw in, it's important that we all stay safe by being seen, so we want to support the brightest GloWeek ever! Please read more on the following webpage: CBIT's GloWeek Campaign

Please wear your most colourful clothing, neon bracelets and bright beautiful faces!

We will provide bowling, karaoke, pizza and soft drinks for FREE from 12pm to 3pm, and donations towards tickets from Silverlining members are welcome.

The location is King Pin Suite, Tavistock Square, Tavistock, London, WC1H 9EU. With easy transport links via train, tube and car. The venue has disabled access and we hope you can all make it!

Please only get tickets if you are 100% sure you're able to make it so no one's space is wasted.

The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity has come together with the Child Brain Injury Trust to support their annual GloWeek campaign. We are thrilled to be able to work alongside each other - together we can help raise awareness of acquired brain injury (ABI) and share the support, experiences, and services available for both children and adults with ABI.

"The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity has given me a brighter future" quote by Silverliner Steve.

The Child Brain Injury Trust was established by a group of health professionals in 1991 to research and provide information regarding the effects of ‘traumatic’ injury on a child’s developing brain. Parents of children with acquired brain injury were keen to become actively involved with the charity and over time the emphasis on the work changed. Today the Child Brain Injury Trust is the leading voluntary sector organisation providing emotional and practical support, information and learning opportunities for families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury across the UK. They work across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and have a dedicated team of professional staff and volunteers who give their expertise, commitment and energy every day. Families continue to be involved in the development of the charity and we continue to be amazed and enlightened by their resilience and strength.

The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity offers opportunities for all those affected by brain injury (Silverliners) to get involved in exciting and purposeful activities in the community. Our service users include the brain injured as well as their family members and friends who are often overlooked despite the effects brain injury can have on loved ones. We run free and low-cost activities and events in the community encouraging our members to reconnect, grow and discover something new. All our activities are open to adults of all abilities; we believe that disability should never be a barrier to personal achievement. Our work engages brain injured people with the wider community in such a way which invigorates, motivates and rehabilitates to discover a sense of purpose, social structure and added meaning to their lives.

We hope you can come and meet us on Sunday 26th October 2025, have some fun and learn more about the amazing work provided by both charities!
