Step into the holiday spirit this December 5–6 as Madison, Georgia, welcomes you to its Christmas Tour of Homes, hosted by The Morgan County Historical Society. For one special weekend, as has been done for 75 years, the doors of some of our town’s most cherished private residences and historic landmarks will open, each dressed with holiday cheer.

This self-guided tour allows you to explore at your own pace—whether strolling with friends, family, or venturing out on your own. Every home reflects the personality of its stewards, offering unique touches and heartfelt decorations that make the season unforgettable. Slow down, take it all in, and make lasting memories in one of Georgia’s most picturesque small towns.

• $35 - Day Tours: Dec. 5 & 6 • 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
• $35 - Candlelight Tours: Dec. 5 & 6 • 5 p.m.–9 p.m.
• $55 - Combo Tours: Dec. 5 & 6 • Access to both Day & Candlelight Tours

Please note: The tour is not ADA accessible. Walking is required.

TOUR STICKERS: Guests who purchase tickets before November 15th will receive a Christmas Tour of Homes sticker by mail. Please keep your sticker safe and wear it on the day of your visit—this sticker serves as your official entry pass to all tour homes and the trolley.

TICKETS PURCHASED AFTER NOVEMBER 15TH will be available for pick-up at Will Call, located outside Heritage Hall in a tent.

TOUR WILL GO ON, RAIN OR SHINE!

Please be prepared for inclement weather! Homes are equipped with disposable booties and home owners may require you to wear them over your shoes.

Please be advised that this tour will require walking! Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Madison's Historic District is beautiful, so we hope you will be as entranced as we are as you walk past the stately homes to your next destination on the tour. 🚋 Complimentary Trolley Service

For the first time in its 75-year history, the Tour of Homes will offer transportation between homes thanks to the Madison Trolley Company.

• Service will run continuously on a loop, stopping at major parking areas and participating tour homes.
• Service is complimentary and provided on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to patrons with mobility concerns.
• Boarding and drop-off will only take place at designated stops for safety.
• Please expect about 45 minutes for a full loop, and allow for possible delays as this new service is introduced.
• We cannot guarantee that every guest will be able to ride. This is first and foremost a walking tour, so we ask for your patience and understanding.

The Madison Trolley Company is generously providing this service at no charge. However, donations will be accepted onboard in support of the Morgan County Historical Society, with all proceeds benefiting the maintenance and preservation of Heritage Hall.

When purchasing your ticket, you’ll be asked to accept a liability waiver if you plan to use trolley transportation.
