1st International Workshop on Molecular Ion-Based Neuromorphic Computing: from Polyoxometalates to Nanofluidic Ionotronics (POMORPHICS)

Join this workshop at the University of Southampton, on the 3rd of March 2026, for the latest breakthroughs in molecular ion-based materials for neuromorphic computing and energy-efficient AI.

This workshop is co-organised by the University of Southampton (Prof Dimitra Georgiadou, Dr Evangelia Founta) and IOM Leipzig (Dr Kirill Monakhov) and is sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

The agenda of the day will feature a series of invited talks, contributed posters, meet-the-editors session and ample opportunities for discussion, networking, and future collaboration.

Invited speakers for this workshop include:

  • Prof Francesca Santoro - Juelich, RWTH-Aachen, Germany
  • Dr Kazuya Terabe - National Institute for Materials Science, Japan
  • Dr Sreetosh Goswami - Indian Institute of Science, India
  • Prof Fabrizio Torricelli - University of Brescia, Italy
  • Prof Ilia Valov - Juelich, RWTH-Aachen, Germany

It will follow the launch of the new ECS Centre for Neuromorphic Technologies (CeNT) on the 2nd of March in Southampton – Please register here.
