We are delighted to launch Trumpet Issue 14, edited by Nandi Jola, on the 30th of October at 6pm at No Alibis Bookstore, Belfast.
Trumpet is Poetry Ireland's annual literary pamphlet, published to complement the longer-established Poetry Ireland Review, and serves to showcase diverse voices in Ireland and beyond. Each issue of Trumpet is compiled by a guest editor, foregrounding their own experience of poetry and the wider world to assemble a distinctive suite of poems, book reviews, artwork, and opinion pieces, all presented in Trumpet's distinctive livery and design. Recent editors of Trumpet include Helen Hutchinson, William Keohane, Dr Tapasya Narang, Mícheál McCann, and Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan.
Nandi Jola is a poet and playwright born in Gqebera, South Africa and based in Northern Ireland. Her debut poetry collection, Home Is Neither Here nor There, was published in 2022.
