SO LGBTQ+ Poetry Workshop and Open Mic @ Jolly Farmers

So: Poetry Workshop & Open Mic for LGBTQ+ Voices

Join us for So, a welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community to explore their creative voice and share their writing. This event features a free poetry workshop designed for writers of all experience levels. No one is pressured to share their work during the workshop, so feel free to participate at your own comfort level.

After the workshop, we’ll host an Open Mic for those who want to perform. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just beginning, this is your chance to express yourself. The open mic is pay what you can. We welcome other forms of spoken word including prose, monologues and storytelling.

How to take part in the open mic

SoSo at The Jolly Farmers - You must request a performance slot. These are time 3, 5, or 10 minutes. Please note, we have only two 10-minute slots. You can ask for a slot on the day and if there is space we will do our best to fit you in. To request a slot you can DM us on instagram or email socreativeox@gmail.com

Important Info:

• Our first event on the 17th of May will be workshop only.
• Only LGBTQ+ people are invited to perform, unless you are reading on behalf of someone else.
• The workshop is free, and the open mic is pay what you can.
• If you have a disability and would like a free companion ticket, please email or DM us, no explanation or proof needed.
