So Kids SOAR (Formerly known as Dreams For Kids DC) invites you to join us at Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy for our annual holiday celebration for youth with physical and developmental disabilities, presented by the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy & Fight For Children! We can't wait to celebrate you at our one of a kind event for youth with disabilities! Special thank you to the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy for donating their venue in-kind to us again this year.
Celebración Navideña SKS 2025So Kids SOAR (anteriormente conocido como Dreams For Kids DC) te invita a unirte a nosotros en la Academia de Béisbol Juvenil de los Washington Nationals para nuestra celebración anual de vacaciones para jóvenes con discapacidades físicas y del desarrollo, presentada por la Academia de Béisbol Juvenil de los Washington Nationals y Fight For Children. ¡Estamos ansiosos por celebrarte en nuestro evento único para jóvenes con discapacidades! Un agradecimiento especial a la Academia de Béisbol Juvenil de los Washington Nationals por donar nuevamente su sede este año.
Throughout the year, we hold adaptive clinics for our special needs children--anything from waterskiing to football. The So Kids SOAR Holiday Celebration is not only a fun event for our volunteers, participants, and their families; moreover, a way for our youth with disabilities to give back to the less fortunate. At the holiday event, we will provide all guests with activities, such as wrapping presents for homeless children, stuffing Kong balls for animal shelters, etc. Each one of our youth participants will receive a gift bag as they leave, a thank you for helping us give back, and also to show them that their disability cannot hold them back from performing their own philanthropy.
A lo largo del año, realizamos clínicas adaptativas para nuestros niños con necesidades especiales, que incluyen desde esquí acuático hasta fútbol. La Celebración Navideña So Kids SOAR no solo es un evento divertido para nuestros voluntarios, participantes y sus familias; además, es una forma para que nuestros jóvenes con discapacidades retribuyan a los menos afortunados. En el evento navideño, ofreceremos a todos los invitados actividades como envolver regalos para niños sin hogar, rellenar pelotas Kong para refugios de animales, etc. Cada uno de nuestros jóvenes participantes recibirá una bolsa de regalo al irse, como agradecimiento por ayudarnos a contribuir y también para mostrarles que su discapacidad no les impide realizar su propia labor filantrópica.
Who: This event is open to volunteers, parents/guardians, and youth with a disability of any type. We need 2-3 volunteers with cars to assist with dropping off gifts after the event! Please email glenda@sokidssoar.org if you are interested!
