The annual SEER Symposium, titled “Location and Education: Navigating Regional Disparities in Accessing Higher Education”, will take place in person in central London on Monday 17th November 2025.

This year’s symposium focuses on one of the most pressing issues in UK higher education: the regional disparities that affect access for learners from historically underinvested, rural, and coastal communities. These challenges, shaped by early educational attainment, perceptions of higher education, and practical barriers, often begin long before students start considering university.

SEER (Specialist Evidence, Evaluation & Research) is part of the broader Applied Inspiration organisation. It supports smaller, specialist, and newly registered higher education providers in developing effective, proportionate approaches to evidencing and evaluating their impact.

By attending the symposium, you will unlock access to:

  • Insights into common challenges faced across the sector
  • The sharing of good practice and ‘what works’ approaches
  • Exclusive opportunities to learn more about innovations and emerging evidence
