Public Hearings to Restore Philly School Librarians!

Philadelphia Alliance to Restore School Librarians (PARSL) is calling all supporters, followers, parents, and educators who want to see the return of school librarian positions to all Philly schools to join us at the Philadelphia Board of Education's Public Hearing on November 6th and/or November 13th at 4pm.

Supporters can:

• Register to give a public testimony, registration opens Mon, Nov 3. [Tips for preparing a testimony here]
• Submit a written testimony.
• Attend and stand up behind testifiers [Bring your favorite book to hold up as people speak. We will also have signs/fans to hold up as people testify!]

This event is a crucial opportunity for the community to voice their concerns and advocate for the restoration of school librarian positions in our schools.

Currently, there are 2 full time certified librarians for the district's 117,000+ students and 200+ schools.
