National Year of Reading: Author Event: Monica Sood

2026 is the National Year of Reading and we are excited to start it off with a brilliant children's author event with Monica Sood! Monica has written a fantastic, inclusive picture book: 'The Gift that Gives Back', illustrated by Debasmita Dasgupta.The book is more than just a story—it's an inspiring journey that teaches children courage, kindness, and the importance of protecting nature. After reading the book to us and telling us about how the book was created and what was involved we can ask Monica some questions and then take part in a fun related activity.

For children aged 3-7 and their parents and carers. This is going to be a lovely family event.

Each ticket is for 1 adult and 1 child. If you are coming with more than 1 adult or more than 1 child, please book additional tickets.

Tickets are free but places are limited, so if you are unable to attend, please cancel so the place can be used by someone else.

You will need to show proof of your Eventbrite ticket at the library to attend the session. Please do not attend if you or your child(ren) have tested positive or show symptoms of COVID-19
