Overview
Join us for a unique evening where food and film come together, directed and hosted by Chris Le Fevre, the filmmaker behind MUNCH.
Chef Nam Nguyen will present a five course menu, served in chapters alongside a curated short film directed by Chris, telling the story behind each dish and Nam’s culinary journey.
This is more than a supper club. It is a cinematic dining experience where you eat the food you learn about, live and in sync, surrounded by friends.
You’ll enjoy wines supplied by MJ Wine Cellars, who champion independent, people-of-colour, organic winemakers from around the world. They’ve selected a few incredible bottles for the night that pair beautifully with Nam’s menu, to be enjoyed with the food or later at the bar.
For beer lovers, Five Points Brewery, an independent London brewery, have curated a selection of their favourites for the evening. Their range will be available to enjoy alongside the meal or at the bar throughout the night.
Hosted by MUNCH, this special evening celebrates Chef Nam’s flavours, techniques and stories, blending film, food and atmosphere into one unforgettable experience.
What to expect
Arrive to a warm welcome from Chris Le Fevre, the filmmaker and host behind MUNCH, and Chef Nam Nguyen, who will greet you with an aperitif and your first course to enjoy as you mingle, crack open a drink, and ease into the space. You’ll then be seated at long communal tables facing a projection screen, where the evening begins. As the first chapter of the film plays, you’ll be introduced to Nam’s story, the experiences, places and people that shaped his cooking. When the chapter ends, the same dish you’ve just watched being created will be served in front of you, ready to be tasted in real time.
Expect Vietnamese flavours, traditional yet elevated in Nam’s own playful Yam with Nam style, layered, vibrant and deeply personal. The atmosphere is relaxed and cinematic, with food, film and sound coming together in one flow. A complimentary Five Points beer starts the evening, with organic wines from MJ Wine Cellars available throughout, and the bar open later for anyone who wants to stay, chat and keep the night going.
