Calender...

This beginner friendly crochet workshop will teach you how to make your own useful crochet basket!

A crochet basket is a lovely and handy thing to have around, and they are really on trend at the moment. They can store toiletries, hair accessories, keys, loose change and can be a great handmade gift to give to friends. The best news is that they're really easy to make!

This workshop is designed to be totally accessible for beginners and will cover the very basics of crocheting and pattern following. So don't worry if you've never picked up a hook before, you'll learn some useful crochet stitches and techniques and pick up a new crafty hobby!

Crocheting is an incredibly mindful and relaxing craft and, when you become proficient with the stitches, you will find that you can bring your crocheting out anytime you have a spare 5 minutes to relax - great for resting, recharging and looking after your own wellbeing.

All materials are provided for this workshop

However if you would like to choose your own materials, you will need the following:

1 ball of 4mm braided cotton cord

Size 10 mm hook

Scissors

Stitch marker or small amount of yarn or string in a different colour (3-4inches is enough!)

You will cover the ins and outs of crochet patterns and stitches. Throughout this textiles class, you'll soon start to feel the calming and mindful benefits of crochet, build your confidence and maybe even find your new favourite hobby.

This workshop takes place at Cul Cuil, where a drink on arrival is included in your ticket!

See you there!
