Welcome to Joyfull Greens - Cooking for Carers series! www.joyfullgreens.com

This is class designed for Unpaid Carers in Surrey who would benefit from a social cooking class making easy healthy meals.

This is FREE for unpaid carers in Surrey.

Come join us for a fun-filled cooking class where you'll learn and cook delicious peanut vegetable stew! West Africa has many variations of groundnut stews and in our class we will make Domoda - the national dish of The Gambia! A rich stew with peanut butter, sweet potatoes and tomatoes!

No experience needed - Just bring your enthusiasm. All ingredients provided. Places strictly limited to 12, booking in advance is required. See below.

Welcome drink and chat.

Let's get chopping and cooking!

Eat our creations together and relax.

Bring containers to take home leftovers.

Domoda - peanut vegetable stew
Quinoa and buckwheat
Cabbage coleslaw
Pepper chickpea fritters

Bring an extra container for leftovers


Time

Start 11am - Finish cooking approx. 12:30 noon.

Eat together approx. 12.30- 1pm

Clean up & Finish 1:30pm.


Additional information:

Joyfull Greens is a Not-For-Profit organisation and subsidises these community classes. We also offer Masterclasses and other sessions for which there are separate fees. Your donations help us run more free community classes for those who cannot afford it. If you love the class and are able to donate more, there will be an opportunity after the class - thanks in advance!

Illness/Cancellations/Refunds/Transfers:

We require a minimum of 7 days’ notice for any cancellations, refunds or transfers to another class. Any last minute changes within 7 days due to illness, then you are welcome to give your ticket to another person. Please understand, Joyfull Greens is a Not-For-Profit organisation and all monies are used to subsidised the community classes that are also offered free, to those who cannot afford to pay. We need 7 days’ notice in which to try and resell your tickets to those on the waiting list. However, this may not always be possible. We rely heavily on the income generated by our £5. Your class fee and donations help us run more free community classes for those who cannot afford it.

Even in classes where allergens are not used, the ingredients for the class may have been in close proximity to allergens and/or equipment & surfaces may have previously come to contact with allergens and other ingredients. Participants attend classes at their own risk.


You must book with us in advance. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please only attend the class if you've received a confirmation from us that you have a place. Places are limited to 12 people.
