In his 50-plus years of playing the instrument, Carl has created a wildly successful, multi-faceted career. A critically acclaimed musician, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer and educator with seventeen albums released worldwide, Carl has also been a member of Supertramp since 1985. He is commonly regarded as a guitar virtuoso capable of playing any style of music with remarkable mastery and conviction. And Carl’s recent concerts with Stewart Copeland has brought him together with symphony orchestras all over North America.
The CVB was on the road in the spring, summer and fall of 2025, as well as recording a new album for release later in 2026. The touring band of drummer John Mader (Steve Miller, John Fogarty, Booker T, Patti Austin, Peter Frampton, Bonnie Raitt) bassist Dave Marotta and keyboard /guitarist Troy Dexter (WilsonPhillips, Don Felder, Dionne Warwick) will be joined by vocalist Hollye Dexter.
Besides the band’s celebrated virtuosic musicianship, four-part vocal harmony adds a new dimension to Carl’s uplifting musical catalog that spans over three decades. And the addition of keyboard player and multi-instrumentalist Troy Dexter brings a second guitar and mandolin into the mix during the acoustic part of the show. These concerts will focus on new music as well as favorites from Carl’s albums dating back to 1988. In a single show, expect to hear blues, rock, jazz, jam and country music in both electric and acoustic settings. Fans of real music, improvised and created in real time with no backing tracks or “playback” will enjoy the ride. An exciting concert for all ages!

CARL VERHEYEN
Los Angeles - Carl Verheyen, named "one of the top 10 guitarists in the world" by Guitar Magazine and "one of the top 100 guitarists of all time" by Classic Rock Magazine, as well as a member of the legendary band Supertramp for 35 years, will embark on a European tour with his five-piece Carl Verheyen Band in 2025.
The Carl Verheyen Band tour will be a new show and a rare opportunity for audiences to experience a powerful blend of blues, rock, jazz and even country from five world-class musicians in comparatively intimate venues. The Grammy-nominated Verheyen will be joined by John Mader, who has worked with Bonnie Raitt, Randy Newman, Pat Benatar, Steve Miller, Booker T., The Family Stone and many others. John also sings background harmonies, and has a unique way of playing drums and percussion simultaneously. For many years the CVB toured as a trio but the addition in 2023 of multi-instrumentalist Troy Dexter on guitar, keyboards and vocals opens up the performances to a much broader range of music.. Troy is musical director of Wilson Phillips, a band formed in 1989 and still very active today. He also plays with Venice, an LA based group featuring some of the best and busiest singers in the music business. Rounding out the lineup is the soulful vocalist Hollye Dexter, queen of harmony!
Verheyen's 50-plus years as a solo, band, and studio guitarist have progressed to the point where hardly a day goes by that you don't hear him if you have access to music, film, or television. A premier studio guitarist, Verheyen is the guitarist behind some of the most popular television shows (Seinfeld, Frazier, Cheers, Happy Days, LA Law, Married with Children, among others) and movies (Star Trek, The Usual Suspects, Ratatouille, The Negotiator, Call of the Wild, and hundreds more) of all time. In addition to his duties as Supertramp's guitarist, he has performed and recorded with a who's who of music greats, from BB King to Joe Bonamassa, Cher, Brad Paisley, Christina Aguilera, the Bee Gees, Stewart Copeland and hundreds more.
Since 1985, Carl has been a member of the British rock group Supertramp and has played to millions of enthusiastic fans in sold-out arenas around the world. As the creative force behind the Carl Verheyen Band, he has released an impressive and eclectic discography that showcases his endless talents in a wide range of musical genres.
Verheyen has given guitar lessons to John Fogerty, members of Maroon 5 and System of a Down and was a soloist at the Oscars, playing live to more than 67 million television viewers. Over the past 35 years, he has performed with Supertramp in 20,000-seat arenas. He has released 17 CDs of his own, mixing band music with solo projects, such as his 2015 recording Alone, a solo acoustic improvisation.
Carl will play a selection of original and non-original music from his 17-CD catalog. The focus is on Carl’s original approach to the guitar, but blues, country, rock, jazz, jam and even bluegrass also appear on the setlist.
Carl Verheyen is a distinguished lecturer who has taught at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles College of Music. His online Music Academy has hundreds of subscribers worldwide. He has been a columnist for Guitar Player Magazine, Guitar and Bass Magazine (Germany and France), Guitar Techniques Magazine (U.K.) and Chitarre Magazine (Italy). As one of L.A.'s busiest studio guitarists, Carl has made a name for himself as a master of tone and taste, as well as a guitar virtuoso.
QUOTES

"Carl is so overwhelming to sit in a room and jam with, let alone his playing on records and stage. You get the impression there is no style or territory he is unable to explore." -Brad Paisley
"Carl is known as a studio guitar player but he's much more than that. His records have the great feel of a live player. He plays with a lot of feeling." -John Fogerty
