Brown Broadway: The Musical

An Immersive Theater Event - Dinner Theater Redefined

I’ve had this living inside me for years! We’re going up! Amen! ~Director Billie King

Brown Broadway: The Musical brings to life the rhythms and resilience of Los Angeles’ Central Avenue in the 1930s–50s. At a time when Broadway excluded performers of color, Black artists built their own stage rich with jazz, gospel, love, and revolutionary creativity. This musical celebrates their legacy and why Central Avenue became known as “Brown Broadway.

Set in the 1930s and 1940s, Brown Broadway follows the music, love, and struggles of the Watson family and the artists who found refuge and triumph on Los Angeles’ Central Avenue.

What to Expect:

Guests don’t just attend Brown Broadway: The Musical they step into it. Inside an upscale venue styled after the legendary jazz houses of 1940s Central Avenue think Club Alabam meets the Cotton Club every detail transports you into the golden age of swing, soul, and velvet-lined melodies.

Savor curated soul-food dinner menus reminiscent of the era fried catfish, collard greens, peach cobbler, and jazzed cocktails while vintage-styled waitstaff in period costume keep the illusion seamless.
