Join us for a series of inspiring and practical events designed to help Minneapolis restaurants, cafes, bakeries, caterers, food trucks, and other similar businesses to prevent and divert food waste!
"86" Food Waste series brings together local chefs, restaurants, and food business leaders who are successfully tackling food waste through prevention and diversion.
Rick Oknick, Manager of Customer Success at TOAST
Carrie McCabe-Johnston, Chef and Owner of Nightingale
Liz Mullen, Culinary Director, Chowgirls Catering
Chris MacLeod, Co-owner, Laune Bread
This event will focus on food waste prevention, including managing food scrap waste, creative reuse and menu design, and inventory management.
Ann Hill, Executive Director, Twin Cities Food Justice
Madeleine Partch, Program Coordinator, Minnesota Waste Wise
This event will educate participants on food waste diversion, including how to set up composting and organics recycling systems, access grants for support, and implement food donation processes.
Additionally, interact with Chowgirls Catering as they demo zero-waste chef stations and composting back-of-house and at catering events.
