Welcome to the 10th Annual Death Faire Revival!

Step into a day unlike any other as the gates swing open at 11:00 am for a soul-stirring celebration of life, death, and everything in between. From the Opening Ceremony with Laura “Cherokee Water Pourer” McKelvey to an unforgettable Ceremonial Grief Concert by Aditi Sethi, the day is alive with music, movement, and meaning. Wander between the Main Stage, Little Pond Stage, Wheelhouse, and Gazebo—or lose yourself in the colorful Kids Area, Gallery, and Altar. Paint sugar skulls, join the drum circle with the Paperhand Puppets, or explore nature with Leif Diamant. Discover powerful conversations in the Green Room, from planning your own funeral to a community-supported end-of-life panel and grief rituals. As afternoon turns to evening, let your heart be lifted by the soul-stirring performance of Nneena Freelon, Pierce Freelon & Musicians, before Laura McKelvey closes the day with prayers and a warm reception. This is not just an event—it's an experience that will stay with you long after the music fades.

The road to Death Faire 2025 starts on Monday October 27th 5:30 - 8:30pm at the AG center in Pittsboro with heart2heartnc, Webb Squared and El Vínculo Hispano hosting a documentary by Transitions Lifecare.An Act of Love: Talking with Your Family About Serious Illness and End of Life, a 25-minute documentary that explores the lived experiences of people in Black, African American, Hispanic, Latino, and rural communities as they navigate their unique experiences with hospice and palliative care.

On Thursday, October 30th, 6-8pm we will launch the newly published "Welcome to Death Faire: Love, Loss and Healing in a Small Southern Town" at Forest Hall-Chatham Mills, Pittsboro. For RSVP or book orders, click here.

Saturday November 1st 4-6pm (free to the public) join us in the Smelt Art Gallery at The Plant for the opening of the Death Faire Art Exhibit and stay for heart2heartnc's free community healing "Tending to the Heart" 7:00 - 8:30pm in Starlight Mead.
